JAMES VELVET & THE IVORY BILLS

James Velvet is one of New Haven ’s musical treasures. He’s fronted dozens of bands; most notably The Mocking Birds, who enjoyed a 12 year run. James and his bands have released at least ten CDs, cassettes and records and is in the midst of a recording a new one with The Ivory Bills- in which he is joined by long-time collaborators Johnny Java on drums and John L. on fiery guitar.
